Yeah thats right. One more blog to follow and fill your inbox with updates. Another self-centered, egotistical jackass with nothing better to do but share their world with you. Don't get me wrong I love blogs. In fact I am even guilty of religiously following some. So why would you need to follow another person's post about some shit you are not doing? Easy. Because you should be doing that shit. Really.........shut down the computer down and get the fuck outside.
One focus of the blog will be geared towards telling stories of adventure. Adventures that you want to do and some you hope you never will. You know the ones I am talking about, where EVERYTHING goes wrong. The ones that often come up when sitting at a future campfire and sharing the worst moments. Hindsight you laugh about them like you actually enjoyed them. But really it's just a defense mechanism to shield yourself from the post traumatic stress. On the other end of the spectrum I hope to encourage you to plan your own adventure, or steal mine. I want to prove to you that you don't always have to go far for adventure. I hope that through my stories and photos you will be encouraged to get outside màs.
A huge chunk of this blog will be dedicated to gear reviews. I am a gear nut, hands down. In fact just today on a hike I recognized a fellow runner, not by his bearded face but by his Ultimate Direction AK Race Vest 2.0. When I saw another runner (whom I thought was the same) I noticed he was wearing a Nathan hydration vest. Gear is my passion. I enjoy testing and tweaking gear till it fits my every desire. Often that ends with me loving or hating that piece. To coincide with my minimal lifestyle I am always searching for multi-use gear. I hate having specialized equipment that only gets used a few times a year. So what gives me any authority on judging equipment? I fucking use it. It doesn't get purchased and then placed in a closet. I use it for it's intended purpose and don't treat it like a tulip. I expect my gear to preform at my level, and when it doesn't it gets replaced.
Besides physical gear reviews and triplogs; there will be periodic post on fitness and diet. Full disclaimer, I am plant based. Now before you slam the laptop closed, I won't preach. I don't do it, it's not my style. You do your thing and I will do mine. All my diet related posts will pertain to the outdoor adventures and can be easily adapted to fit your lifestyle. I eat what I believe is a relatively healthy diet and believe that this is in direct correlation to my performance. I eat to live and not live to eat. Food is fuel and the body is the engine. Get it? Good. Moving on.
I guess that sums it up. So you made it this far and you might as well follow it. I mean what else could you be doing right now? Working?
