Every year during we Fall we focus our hikes and trips on the best spot to find color. Arizona is filled with plenty of unique landscapes that change. This particular week, the Inner Basin was in full blast with the Aspens turning. Knowing this, we decided to go where others were not. A friend had recently done a hike off Rim Road 300 North of Payson, and the trees were changing. Using his GPS track (Thanks Chumley) and venturing off route on our own we weren't disappointed.
We started following Chumley's route but basically just let our eyes guide us. When we found a colorful patch we headed that way. Rocco was also helpful by barreling through the leaves and guiding us to the softest route.
