I had so much fun running the Buff Springs Loop in the Superstitions last year that we decided to go back and do the loop as our first hike of the year. I will spare you the details of the trail and route, but if you are interested you can read my previous post here. Fortunately Arizona has been receiving some weather the last few weeks. The Superstitions are usually a relatively dry area but during and a few days after a rain the area is transformed. The plants come to life which is apparent through the vibrant colors. Additionally the winter months are the best times of year to spot some 'Fall Colors' or rather 'Winter Colors'. The combination of rain and color created a lot of beauty throughout the hike. But enough words, here are the pictures.
