Deep in the Sierra Ancha Wilderness there lies a plethora of indian ruins. Some of the more popular ones are Devil's Chasm and the Pueblo Canyon Ruins. For this excursion we were headed out to the Pueblo Canyon Ruins for a night hike. The hike begins with a solid 1000ft ascent in the first mile. It then has rollers, bushwhacking, and trail littered with marble sized rocks. After a few miles you are rewarded with a glimpse of the ruins across the valley. Continuing down trail you come to a mine and a waterfall. After the final push you end up at three sets of ruins tucked away in this isolated canyon. To access the ruins you need good route finding skills, a high clearance vehicle (we took a 2014 Subaru Forrester) and time. If you would like to find out more about these ruins and others in the area checkout the description on hikearizona.com.
